Sunday Services

Join us every Sunday morning for the Morning Service at 9:15 am followed by the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am.

The Daily Services in the Armenian Apostolic Church, also called The Liturgy of the Hours, are made up of nine services: Night, Morning, Sunrise, Third Hour, Sixth Hour, Ninth Hour, Evening, Peace, and Rest. The Hours services are a meditative dialogue on the mystery of Holy Trinity, using psalms, hymns, scripture, and prayer.

We hold the Morning service prior to the Divine Liturgy. This service is an abbreviated version of the Night and Morning services of The Liturgy of the Hours. The dialogue is always held in the presence of God, using the words and wisdom of God. This is a service we perform in Armenian and English. We encourage the participation of the congregation in the prayers and the hymns.

The Divine liturgy is the main worship service of the Armenian Church, but it is much more than that. It provides the most intimate encounter we can have with God in this life. In the Divine Liturgy, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, comes to his people -- to you and me -- in two forms. First, by His Word, in the reading of the Holy Gospel; and second, by His Holy Body and Blood, in Holy Communion. These two actions -- the reading of the Word of God and the reception of Holy Communion -- are the two pillars or building blocks of the Divine Liturgy in all ancient Apostolic churches.
