The Armenian Genocide

"Their destination is the desert"
Talaat Pasha

On his orders one and a half million women and children were forced to march to their graves in the Syrian desert.

What is a genocide?
Genocide is a form of one sided mass killing involved a state or other authority intends to destroy a group of people. Historian Arnold Tognice vividly describes in his book [Treatment of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire]. The cruelties inflicted upon the Armenians. There are many documented publications by many nations that described the cruelties as lethal, incredulous savagery.
Many women were striped naked and their abdomens were slashed and thrown into ditches to die. Many teachers, professors, doctors of the educated class were captured and with the words [so you are the intellect of these people]. They had their heads placed,  in vises and squeezed till they burst. Only 19% of the Armenians were estimated to have survived the Armenian Genocide. Less informed news reporters and politicians have referred to Genocide as alleged. The survivors know differently.
The Armenian Genocide is perhaps better documented than most historic events. There are virtually thousands of documents in the official archives of all major governments, including the United States.
Today Turkey continues its violation of human rights, violations of human rights as submitted by Amnesty Intentional.
The violations are too many to count. However, the United States overlooks Turkey's outrageous record of human rights abuses, referring to Turkey' s strategic importance as a NATO ally. Despite Turkeys contempt for human rights, the US rewords Turkey with $500,000,000 of taxpayers' money and additional outright donations of U. S. Military equipment.
No! we will never forget the Armenian Genocide as long as the Turks refuse to accept the responsibility for this heinous crime.
